Our Aims.
At Citizens Advice Middlesbrough we have two aims
1. Give advice to people for the problems that they face.
2. Improve the policies and practices that affect people's lives.
We help many clients with a range of problems including benefits, debt, relationships, housing and immigration.
We provide free, independent, confidential and impartial advice to everyone on their rights and responsibilities. We value diversity, promote equality and challenge discrimination.
Sometimes a person has more than one problem, and often they are linked. We tackle issues in the round making sure people get all of the support they need.
Each local Citizens Advice charity is a member of the national Citizens Advice charity. All together we form the Citizens Advice service.
We make a difference - 7 in every 10 people who sought our help last year had their problem solved. Helping people solve their problems can stop issues getting worse, which can save money further down the line. In 2017-18, working together as a national service, we saved government and public services at least £435 million.
